Want to take your Independence Day celebrations to new heights? Captain John’s Fawn Harbor & Marina on Big Bear Lake invites you to join the Independence Day Extravaganza celebrations and enjoy the fireworks lakeside at 39369 North Shore Drive in Fawnskin, California on Friday, July 4, 2014. Activities start at 8:00am and continue all day concluding with a fireworks show that is ranked among the best in California.
The annual family-friendly event celebrates the summer season with live music, food, and fun–both on the lake and lakeside. This year there will be fun activities, Reggae music while Tropical BBQ of Temecula will be serving up a mouthwatering blend of traditional Smoke house and Caribbean delicacies.
Come up and celebrate Independence Day with us! You can listen to live music, picnic, paddle, play horseshoes and a whole lot more. We will have a lot happening and the lakeside view of the fireworks is breath-taking.
Big Bear Lake is located in the San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 6,750 feet and is easily accessible from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, making it a favorite destination for Southern California residents. Lake levels are lower than last year which provides more lakeside beach areas for lakeside strolls, bird watching, shoreline play and lounge chair space for watching the fireworks.
Captain John’s always has something happening and has a number of unique events planned for this July including the Dog Days of Summer (A Pet Adoption Fair), and a Stand-Up Paddleboard Clinic with Chuck Glynn Certified Laird SUP Instructor.
We enjoy getting people out on the lake and into lake sports, and the Independence Day Extravaganza is a great time to bring the entire family up for a day of fun.
