National Marina Day takes place on Saturday, June 14, 2014 and our Big Bear Lake Marina wants you to come and celebrate!
Captain John’s Fawn Harbor & Marina has a lot planned but want to let you know about the National Marina Day Photo Contest.
We want you to enjoy a day out on the lake and take photos to catch the spirit of the day. If you do, you will have a chance to win some prizes and have your photograph at Captain John’s Fawn Harbor & Marina featured in the Marina Dock Age Magazine.
CJFHM loves the idea and so we are going to have a local photo contest in our Facebook community as well.
If join us on Facebook with an RSVP all the photos you upload to Facebook after check-in will post photos instantly on Captain John’s National Marina Day but you can enter on the National Marina Day Photo Contest page. We will have the community pick the winner and the good news is that for the CJFHM photo contest, it is strictly digital.
Please just make sure you upload to the event page for National Marina Day to be considered.
For the Dock Age Magazine contest there are requirements:
- Send digital photos to Anna Townshend, email to [email protected] or mail a disk or USB drive to 319 N. 4th St., Suite 650, St. Louis, MO 63102.
- Photo requirements for the magazine: Files should be 300 dpi, at least 9 in. x 12 in.; the LARGER, the better.
- Hint: Vertically oriented shots make the best cover shots. Horizontal shots may be cropped but only if they are extremely large files.
Deadline for both photo contests is June 20, 2014.
CJFHM winners will be announced at the 4th of July Extravaganza we will be excited to see what your snappin’ while having fun at National Marina Day.
